Electricity Policy Experts Launch Consulting Firm
To Provide Guidance as Industry Confronts Fundamental Change
Alexandria, VA – ESPY Energy Solutions, LLC is a new consulting practice designed to help navigate the shifting waters as state and federal policymakers promote sweeping changes in the way U.S. consumers purchase and use electricity.
Co-founders Nora Mead Brownell and Kristine Schmidt have more than 50 years of regulatory, legislative, operational, strategic planning and marketing expertise in the energy industry. Together, they offer unique capabilities and insights to clients, whether utility companies, new technology providers or investors developing new corporate strategies, reorganizing their businesses, or otherwise making investment decisions for the new economy and an increasingly green-focused world.
“ESPY Energy Solutions is founded on the belief that the energy industry is poised for fundamental change,” Brownell, a former state and federal utility regulator, explained.
“We will advise clients confronting changes in operations, financial investment and recovery, and customer interaction due to an increasing national emphasis on renewable energy resources and energy efficiencies, recent advances in the Smart Grid value chain, and the vast improvements in the economics and capabilities of energy-related technologies,” added Schmidt, an energy policy expert and energy industry veteran.
Brownell and Schmidt have proven track records, deep alliances and networks, and solid foundations of experience to collaborate and deliver salient, valuable, and actionable strategies and solutions to your business challenges.
